Today, Motorola celebrated sales of its iconic RAZR V3, after reaching a major milestone of 50 million units sold. RAZR has been on the market since July 2004 and continues to ship unchanged from carriers around the world. There are now several variants, including the V3i and V3c. Another next generation RAZR, dubbed the RAZR K1, was approved by the FCC last week.

While 50 million units sold says something about the popularity of the phone, the most popular phone sold by Motorola was the StarTac line. The StarTac line was around in the 90s, when an estimated 75 million units were sold.
