Palm plans to launch a new Treo
Palm, Inc., is aligning to announce a new Treo smartphone.
“The announcement is going to be made in the UK on September 12, and we will give all the details then but at the moment all we are saying is that it will be out before the end of the year,” said a Palm spokeswoman.
According to Palm’s earlier statements, the new smartphone unit will be launched using Vodafone’s third generation (3G) high speed network and Microsoft Mobile Windows operating system. The earlier disclosures about the details of the release were not confirmed beyond the initial conversations.
The release of th new Palm’s device carries a lot of hope and responsibility for reviving of sales that were hit hard by the competition and problems with previous models.
