Cingular is hiking text messaging fee
Cingular Wireless will increase the cost for sending and receiving text messages by 50%. Staring January 21st, 2007 SMS users will pay a new price of 15 cents per message.
Cingular is following Sprint’s price increase earlier this year. The pricing change only affects customers who are not on a messaging plan and they prefer paying for each incoming and outgoing text message.
User’s who want to reduce their per message cost should consider one of Cingular’s text messaging plans, which run from 200 messages per month for $5 to 3,000 messages per month for $20.
