LG8500 Chocolate comming soon at Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless is now featuring the LG 8500 handset as “Chocolate” on its homepage. The phone with a sliding dialpad is expected to be exclusive to Verizon Wireless.
According to the demo on their site this is an MP3 player and phone combo. Let’s wait and see when more information is revieled.

Verizon Wireless will send out an email once the LG VX9800 is available. The phone is scheduled to begin shipping next month it is a phone, camera, and communication hub.. The VX9800 phone has a split design the phone open and there is a bigger screen and QWERTY keyboard.

Cingular Wireless has launched two entry-level handsets from LG, the C2000 and C1500.

Mobile Phone Sales Soar In Q2 2005 Worldwide

InformationWeek reported that the worldwide mobile phone sales reached 190.5 million units in the second quarter of 2005. Nokia and Motorola own nearly half of the market.
The following is the breakdown of the market reach in mobile phone sales:

Nokia 31.9 percent

Samsung 12.8 percent
LG 6.5 percent

LG has launched the U8210

LG Electronics has launched their first 3G/UMTS device, the U8210, using Bitfone’s mProve technology for FOTA. FOTA, firmware over-the-air upgrade technology allows wireless network operators to diagnose, service and enhance mobile devices remotely.
