Vodafone Group is set to introduce a new streamed music offering after launching a streamed mobile TV service. The move will help boost revenue beyond its core telephony business.

Vodafone the Europe’s largest mobile phone operator has joined forces with Sony NetServices to launch the Vodafone Radio DJ service, personalized music channels streamed to customers’ handsets and computers.

Vodafone is joining the growing trend of mobile phone operators around the globe launching new streamed and downloadable music services.

Google has acquired a small Canadian company, Reqwireless.

According to the Financial Post, Reqwireless makes Web browser and e-mail software for use on wireless devices.

LG Mingo kid-friendly phone

Migo from Verizon Wireless is a kid-friendly wireless phone. The Migo phone allows parents to stay connected with their kids.

Migo, the mobile phone features:

Nokia announced today at an annual investor meeting its new business oriented model, Nokia 6233.

Features of Nokia 6233 mobile phone:

During the DigitalLife consumer technology event in New York, T-Mobile unveiled two new limited addtion models of the T-Mobile Sidekick II.

The first model was the stylish pink T-Mobile Sidekick II Juicy Couture Edition, and the second model was the bold, black T-Mobile Sidekick II Mister Cartoon Edition.

The device will be available in selected T-Mobile retail outlets in San Francisco, Miami, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and online with limited quantities.

Nokia 9300 launched by Cingular

Nokia 9300

Cingular has announced the Nokia 9300, a high-end Communicator device under the Series 80 family. The Nokia 9300 from Cingular will ship with BlackBerry Connect, making it the first non-RIM handset with the BlackBerry Connect software sold in the US.

“The Cingular-enabled Nokia 9300 business device with BlackBerry Connect is designed for the mobile professional seeking a high-quality combination of PDA, phone and mobile email in a sleek, compact device.”
